What about the underside

From all the literature ive read about the SVA, am i to take it that the underside of the car doesnt come into it, i have a couple of bolts that might fail otherwise. then again i could always run over a couple of speed ramps to round them off

The tester will put a 30-degree cone against the car - everything above that will be checked.

As for the underneath, he will look, but should only concern himself with dangerous stuff, e.g. something that will fall off, vulnerable pipework, etc.
