Adrian Flux have lost the plot

Morning all

Until yesterday I was a happy customer of Adrian Flux as the service was excellent and the price of the policy seemed fair.

Received my reminder and the company seems to have lost their marbles. They wanted and extra £70 on last years premium though nothing has changed and wanted £25 to issue the policy certificate! Included with the literature was a price matching guarentee though when I rang to question the hike in price and £25 for a single sheet of A4 they didn't seem the slightest bit interested that I was going to take my business elsewhere. When I pointed out they promised to price match they asked for any cheaper quote in writing together with all the legal documentation so they could ensure that both policies were absolutley identical which is pretty slim.

Needless to say they've lost the policy to 2togther insurance who couldn't of been more helpful.

So anyone insured with flux with a renewal due should prepare for some humourous reading when the docs turn up.

I had a similar experience a few months ago and ended up with Osbourne & Sons.

I actually sent them alternative email quotations and they still didn't price match.

Good luck to them.

Just shows you how they differ day to day

I have just gone with AF as they where excellent on the phone and they where £30 cheaper than 2gether and that included full European Breakdown which 2gether couldn't do

Footman James for me every time - always been the most competitive on price and the service (not that I've made a claim mind) is A1 polite and helpful too.

Very strange, must depend on who you talk too, last time I insured my motor they were only too happy to price match with no evidence needed!!!

I tried Flux for a quote recently and they were around £200 I think. Footman James were pushing £400 and 2Gether did it for £128. No one would match 2gether so I went with them. My only gripe is that they were asking for details of me being in a club which I never said I was. I rang and explained and they said no worries if I haven't got anything then I haven't got anything. Next thing I get is a letter saying they will cancel in just over a week if I don't supply them with club details. Plums! I just printed this screen off and sent that. Hope they're not that funny if I need their help.

Is that Velocity bonnet I see on your car ? If so, you qualify as a Luego owner.

It's all velocity bodywork on my own chassis. You think I could muscle in as a Luego owner? I'll have to try if they're not happy. Ta
