Rear hazards (red light) and hazard flashers (cashpoint lights) are required for sva and mot unless your car is ancient (1960s) When my motor goes for mot I am usually under it with the tester watching what he's doing.

yours, Pete.

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

4 Way flashers are NOT a requirement, the MOT manual states that if a switch is fitted they must work.

My F27 has never had 4 way flashers and has always passed its MOT, until last year and it failed on the 4 ways, i told the chap it had passed every other, her re-checked the MOT bible, and i read it myself too, Where fitted they must work.
