Receipts

Guys Im going for a new plate. However having done 'deals', (!), Im light of a few receipts. Namely engine, which was in fact new when bought but due to cash payment came sans paperwork. Same for half shafts. Diff was refurbed with an ATB, (have receipt for that).

As I understand it I need to show the age for six areas of the car; axles, transmission, steering, engine and suspension. I also understand that one, (?) of these can be refurbed.

So need clarification on the above and some ideas on what to do about receipts.

Ta muchly!h

The list of component is for age-related plates.

For NEW plates you need ALL parts to be new with the exception of one part which may be reconditioned to as new condition.

Kit Cars

Where all the parts of a vehicle are supplied new by the manufacturer. Subject to the provision of satisfactory receipts and a certificate of newness these vehicles will be registered under a current registration mark.

Kit cars which have been built using not more than one reconditioned component will also be registered under a current mark. This is subject to the provision of satisfactory evidence that the component has been reconditioned to an "as new" standard. An IVA, ESVA, SVA or MSVA test will be required.
