Bastard insurance companies!!
Got a quote there, for an R1 engined locost. They'll insure my dad for £100 a year with 3000k miles!! Then when i was mentioned, they said
" we dont insure 19 year olds"! How annoying is that? altho i'll prob be 20 when its finished. Call adrian flux for nice quotes.

I had the same problem with a zx9 engined BEC. I am only 23 and they would not give me a quote! although then I am 25, only 18 months away, it will
cost about £300 for 3K miles.

I'm 22, and have insured my zx9 powered indy, fully comp for £350 with adrian flux. Value is stated as £7000, there is a 3500 mile limit, I said
I have nil no claims bonus (I'm a company car driver) and clean license and my dad is also insured on it as well at no extra cost. Funilly
enough I also pay £350 for my 1800 locost, so I don't know about the theory that the premium is calculated by the engine capacity. Jay, I was
insured on the locost at 20 by adrian flux.
My mate pays £250 with adrian flux on his indy which has a blade in it. He's 4 months older and it seems to save him £100. He paid £50 per year
to insure it for theft whilst he was building it then it went up £200 for the road

Jay,
You're fighting two big negative factors there - your age and living in NI. I posted a list of all the insurance companies willing to insure
kit cars in N. Ireland - do a search you should find it - ring round them - it's all you can do.
All the best
Ali

Cheers lads. And about adrian flux's way of calculating the cost, they didnt even ask if my dad had non claims or even his DOB!! Is tht not the
fundamental question? MAD!! Im 20 in august so will hopefully get a quote then.

Lads, the Thoroughbred Sports Car Club is having a track day at Kirkistown on Sunday the 28th of March. There should be a few 7s and a few BECs there
if you're interested in a spot of tyre kicking.
I should have my car there, fingers crossed on the weather.
