Took car to Chadderton . Really helpfull chap. failed on mirrors not giving required field of view!! quite happy with this and should take it back asap. Have got some mirrors with slight convex lense which should work ! rear arches got in way ! is this common ?

my drivers side failed, he couldnt see the 10m line as it dissapeared behind the rear arch, solution was to move it up 1.5" or so. i marked out the lines as they are in the manual, and held the mirror till it was in position marked drilled and fastened, its since moved back to the place it was in initially

Think I was lucky with mine, the tester said when checking the car over that the mirrors will pretty much definately fail. Then when he checked the view from them he passed them.

How lucky was that!

Your right though, they are a common fail point.
