I just cut a piece of ally about 6 inch long by 3/4 inch and stamped the chassis number to that and epoxied it in the drivers foot well near the seat.
Also have the chassis stamped in the engine bay.

There are more requirements for IVA than there were at SVA, as the manufacturers name must also appear (presume it must match what you want on the V5c but it doesn't say).

All the information you need is in the IVA manual section 18.

As for getting one (assuming your manufacturer can't sell you one) you either need to stamp your own, get one etched or have one screen printed onto aluminium and then rivet it on somewhere accessible (scuttle panel would be favourite).

You can order a generic plate from http://www.vin-plate.co.uk/ and then stamp on the info yourself.
