When does the MAC certificate expire?

Pretty sure I read that DVLA will no longer accept MAC certificates after a certain date - was it Dec this year?

Struggling to find it with the search criteria I can remember...

Anyone know?

Just trying to figure out when I HAVE to have the car registered by.

Thanks

As usual it is complicated, skint is the main reason, but I may have to put someone else on the V5, and have them be the registered keeper... hopefully not but I want to know how much time I have to figure it out.

Think it'd 6months from date of issue for SVA MAC's...but then agian it could be 31st DEC 2009! I've got a feeling that I saw it on a VOSA newsletter. Is there any link to thier newsletters on the VOSA web site?

By chance I've just found the news letter.

MAC certs valid untill 31st December 2009. After that you'll have to go through IVA

It was 31st Oct but has been extended.
