Fuel filler caps
Can anybody please shed some light on the fuel filler question!
I understand that due to new rules the cap needs to be lockable,is this the case?
Can a not put it in a lockable box,say inside the boot box?
cheers in advance!

It must have a positive locking action, It must also be tethered to the car, or have a lock in which the key can only be removed when it is locked.
The tester is basically looking for two things:
1) is it going to fall off, come loose, or otherwise allow fuel to leak out.
2) Can you drive off without your fuel filller cap.
My fuel cap is secured by a cam (Like most the integral caps.) (This satisfies #1) and has a lock (Which is nice.)
But the lock does not stop the key being removed when it is unlocked, therefore my cap is physically tethered to the car using some chain used on
bathroom plugs, I believe this satisfies #2.

either lockable (so the key can't be removed until the cap is locked) OR tethered to the car

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Any suggestions for a cheap lockable fuel cap with filler neck (unleaded thingy etc.). Something lockable and flush fit.
