Its MOT time again
At my last MOT the tester wanted proof of the weight for doing the brakes on the rollers
After a chat with him he did it at 650kilo
im hoping he will do it this year
Has any one else had this problem at MOT time?

Isn't it your v5? I know it was deffo on the sva paper work but maybe you didn't keep a copy.
Don't you know anywhere with a weigh bridge would be another thought. Trading Standards offices have them sometimes.

If they don't have a registered weight, they should do it with a calibrated accelerometer. Also needed for full time 4wd vehicles.
My Fury has been done twice like this, the first time the MOT guy didn't buckle up and I nearly put his head in the dash

Mine has always been done using an accelerometer as to use the rollers correctly, I thought you needed to know the split between front and rear.
They wouldn't put mine on the rollers this year becasue of the limited slip diff - although I cannot figure out why that would make a
difference...

Because they test the wheels individually. If you have an LSD you can spin them independently.

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

You don't need to tell the tester what the weight of the car is. That's not your job, it's his.
