Road Tax / MOT Storey with a difference...
It has a happy ending.
I have just visting Wetherby post office to tax my MAC#1 which went like this:
I said: Can i tax this please?
She said: Yes, can i see your documents.
I Said: Sure.
She Said: 6 or 12 months?
I Said: 6 Please.
She Said: Oh.. Do you have your MOT certificiate.
I Said: It does not require one as its less than 3 years old.
She Said: Oh so it is.
She Said: System says it needs one.
I Said: Please dont send me to the DLVA!!
She Said: No, i would not do that they are a complete shower of <insert word>.
She Said: I can see its less than 3 years old by the registered date. I'll override the system.
I said: GEE THANKS!!!!
Finally some one on the other side of the fence who understand how bad the DVLA are.
:-)
I'm happy bummy!!!!
Have a great summer in your car!

Lucky you.
I had the same problem and spent an entire day go to and from the PO.
in Bristol they systems have now been updated so the PO CANNOT override the problem.
This was a shock because they still give you a V112 to fill out which you do and they still cant do jack.
I had to goto the DVLA they gave me one no prolem.
