BEC Emmisions

Hi, Soon approaching my IVA test and just wondering from those who have gone through IVA as to what they check and what the limits are for a BEC (I have an 06 R1) I already have a power commander but no map, i am thinking of taking it to my local friendly mechanic to check/ sort the lights (allingment) and test noise (i think 99db max)? and emmisions but im unsure what the borders are for emmisions as to where i need to be and what they'll be looking for.
Any help will be much appriciated
Greg

emmission values are same as the current MOT bet test limits/

3000rpm fast idle
less than 0.3% CO
less than 200ppm HC
lambda between 0.97 and 1.03

and less than 0.5 CO at normal idle speed

they may try to get it to meet less than 0.2%co at 3000 and less than 0.3 % at idle at first

I assume you've fitted a catalytic converter as you have to meet the full car spec for post 95 engines - 0.5% CO, 200ppm HC and Lambda 0.97 - 1.03.

Hopefully someone will be able to send you a map but its worth learning how to set the Power Commander up so you can adjust at the IVA. They will hopefully allow you some time - depending on how they are for time. I'd say it helps to do the emissions at the back end of the test rather than the start for this reason. Often 2 IVA tests will be done at the same time so hopfully you'll get lucky and get to go on the emissions machine later

As said above re levels. You will need a cat' and the bike cat' won't be big enough to do the job if thats what you have on. It'll also need the cat' getting up to temp'. That can take as long as 20mins at fast idle to achieve.

Id give it a good drive to the test, helps emissions. you might be aswell leaving the powercommander off until after iva.
however the best map ive found for my r1 (03) is M405-505 from dynojet.
