Another engine number question.
Has any one done an iva at Nottingham and used the Burton power catalogue to prove engine age with a ford engine ?
Or any one tried this and been refused ?
It shows the month and year my engine was made if they will accept it ? I have heard of it being used but this may be just web rumors.....

In a simular way I tried to use a letter from Andy Bates re engine age of my Fireblade and the Haynes manual they would not accept either

If I am right my first two letters are RM but according to Burtons site thats either Nov 75 or Jul 94.
Must admit though the bores have no wear and they are std size rings & pistons so 94 may be right.

If your pinto is a 94,it would have 165 or 205 cast on the block.If it is a 75 it will have 16 or 20 cast on the block.Though i was sure that 93 was
the last pinto made.
I used the burtons catalogue on my sva with no problems.It was at newcastle though.
