HELP ON proving age of imported Blade

hi all

being given the run around by honda uk.

i have sc28 blade which is an N spec bike. My engine number does not tie in with what is in the Haynes book, therefore i think its a Jap import. According to Honda UK i cannot get clarifcation of age because i do not have frame number.

Anyone esle had this problem ? and it the sc28 good enough to prove age ?

Hi,
Sorry I saw your post before, but I was on my phone and couldn't type a long reply.

I used the haynes manual, took it to the test centre and showed them the book, they cross referenced the engine code and all was good.

I wasn't aware that engine numbers were different for different countries... can you post up a picture of the lump?

You might have a decent tester who reads off the capacity of 893 or 919 and is sensible about it.

Otherwise HONDA UK can't help, there systems work of frame numbers as you mentioned.

Cheers for that. Thats a bit of positive news , i was not a happy bunny this afternoon after talking with HUK (honda uk)

I hope the tester uses a bit on common sense !!! i,ve got oil stained N spec wiring diagram and 893cc cast into the block LOL.
