LED stop/tail
SVC sell these double working stop-tail lights.
http://www.s-v-c.co.uk/prod/U-Bright_outers.html
Basically the outer ring works as tail light and as stop light. Is this IVA OK ?

I was pulled up for this as it stipulated that the brake and tail had to utilise a separate circuit/filament. This may have been an SVA testers
interpretation of the rules but I had to change them to standard bulbs for a pass.

IIRC they have 2 circuits, one set of bulbs for tail and nother for the brake, but dont quote me, i reval seeing them in action at SVCs stand at
detling. Worth a call to them, they seemed quite helpful at the show.

they are completely seperate. the outer ring does one thing, the inner does the other, and they can be seperated
i'm worried now though, coz mine are LED, and the LEDs are a certain brightness for tail lights, and the same LEDs get brighter when the brakes
are on... they're e-marked though

No, the outer ring acts as tail and stop light.

Mine are exactly those and I passed SVA fine. The stipulation is that a bulb cannot share the same function though it is not a problem for LEDs.

The guy from SVC just told me that the tail and stop light share the same LEDs. They just get brighter if you press the brakes. Still IVA OK ?

No we didn't, the LED outer rings on ours are tail lights only.
Breaker if you're unsure, just get on the phone and speak to Steve at SVC
