Almost nice man at Chelmsford
I've got the choice of 2 SVA test centres, Chelmsford and Norwich, and I've recently had an opportunity to visit both. Firstly, I was
trying to find out where they are, and also to ask a few questions.
As I said recently, the Norwich man was very helpful. On Friday I went to Chelmsford, and the bloke there was also happy to answer questions.
Unfortunately, where the Norwich man only hummed and thought my brake flexi fittings should be OK, the Chelmsford man was emphatic that they
wouldn't pass! Buggerit! Now I'm looking for somewhere to buy made-to-measure crimped hoses (Steve Gust - didn't you get yours from
Merlin? Are they crimped?).
Both places also told me that I will need to cover the edges on my top harness (see picture)
Anyone got any bright ideas on that one?
I'm left with just one concern after that - if I end up going to Chelmsford for my SVA, the first journey the car and its new engine will make
is 40 miles at 70mph on the A12! I really must find an airfield to iron out the bugs before I do that...
rgds,
David

Well, it's nice to know you're right, isn't it! .
Actually, I think the SVA man's wrong, but as I'd like to pass the test I want to build a bit of 'certainty' into it!

S'funny - I can't picture these covers, but you're the second person to mention them... looks like it's a job for the
weekend!
