wasn't it also said somewhere that the number of retests is limited before you need a retest? so something like 2 retests OR 6 months?

It's not quite that straightforward. Your retest has to be BOOKED within 6 months, so the actual retest might be 7 months or so after initial
test - danger here is that if it fails on that retest even on something minor unless they let you sort it there & then you are out of time &
therefore don't get any further retest & have to start again with a fresh test at full price - customer of mine recently fell foul of
this!
I would always say get the retest done absolutely as soon as possible after you're confident the work has been done - this still leaves you time
to sort it if they find something else or aren't happy with something you've done.
I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator
headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names
furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours.
