How do I go about registering my kit with no v5?
I have been Reading a few posts lately regarding registration and It got me thinking. I havenever even thought about the process and am now unsure
where I stand! I bought a donor from a salvage yard but it had no v5. I have all the plates ect with chassis and engine numbers as well as the number
plates. Can I apply for a v5 even though I don't have the car? Do I need the v5 for registration? For some reason I have never given this a
thought. Cheers

I may stand corrected on this one, Daniel, but I don't think you need one for the donor - all it means is you will end up with a 'Q'
plate. - As you can't prove the origin of the parts.

You can have a Q reg without the v5 but if you want age related, you will need the V5 and a certain number of parts from the donor
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

Can you not apply for the V5 document from DVLA (unless the car has been officially scrapped, in which case best not)
