Cable ties and IVA
I'm running my loom around the engine bay in plastic conduit atm. Where the conduit runs along the square sections i've riveted cable tie
bases and cable tied the conduit to that which i'm sure mr IVA man will be pleased with. Can i directly cable tie the conduit to the round
sections of chasis though as it will be much easier and neater. Would this be a fail?

I hope not! I've used cable ties and convoluted trunking pretty much everywhere, with a few p-clips thrown in where appropriate. The manual
just says it needs to be secure, not how. I know of at least one Dax which has gone through SVA with the same approach
(http://forum.daxsportingclub.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=2722, you can see on the first page he's done the same, so it should be fine
IMO.

i thought that too - and was surprised that you had to rivet the bases and not glue them when you can glue floors to the car.
