headlamp flash
searched all through the manual, can't find anything about it. it is mandatory to have a flash option on the headlamps?
has anyone been for IVA and passed ok with just on/off dipped/main options?
if you do have to have a flashing option, does it have to be main beam, or can it just be on the dipped beam?
my headlights only have 1 single filament bulb in each one, with a solenoid to operate a flap to give main/dipped beam, haveing 1 switch to both
operate the light and flip the solenoid would be a real PITA
maybe i'm searching the manual for the wrong words though.
cheers

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

there was no requiremeant at sva passed after the deadline, just had switched off dip main, however once on the road it can be a pain in the arse
not having flash, so there's some wiring changes planned

its the Hella 90mm lights. theres a set they do with seperate units for high and low beam, but the ones i got when they came out a few years ago were
the combined units. i think its an H7 bulb(?) so when the lamp is lit, that it, the bulb is on. the dipped beam pattern is made by a small flap that
flips up inside, the lens flips the light round, and the result is the top of the light output is covered. main beam is done by just letting all the
light out. so it basically runs on main beam all the time.
i got them from SVC, think russ sells lights that operate in the same way
Rick, i knew it wasn't there for sva, but i thought it changed for IVA, but can't find anything about it. i'd look to put a flash in
there, but would be fine and easy if it can just work on the dipped beam

Blake,
Yes, I do sell lights similar to the Hella ones, tho' of course mine are cheaper, smaller & better! However, I have no prob using the main
beam flash with mine, it connects exactly the same as to any other light unit, haven't had any probs using it on the Furore's. To answer
your original Q, no there's no IVA requirement for headlamp flash TTBOMK
I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator
headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names
furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours.
