Avon tyres.

Can someone give me an answer regarding these- will they pass the IVA? Has anyone passed with these tyres on?

Depends on which type - they do lots of tyres...

Road legal with a speed rating above the design speed of the car - yes

slicks - no

Just been to have a closer look at the tyres and it says -
7.0/22 0.13 85V
'for FM/SS 108 test purposes only'

Guess ive answered my own question there?

Some ACB10's are road legal, but I think they have DOT number (and definitely not those markings). i have a set, but they are in the shed and have so little tread that they are illegal for that reason.

To be honest, I have no idea how they got ACB's through the tests. I ran them for a while and they tramline like a, well like a tram, and in the wet they are proper Torville and Dean. Basically a pretty dangerous tyre good on track though where they go really sticky and mega, mega light.
