Old invoices missing
Hi All
After many years (14), Many setbacks, Unforeseen commitments & ever moving goalposts my locost is about done. I’ve got it booked with Pete Baldwin
on the rolling road to get it set up on the 28th by then it should be about fit for the IVA then there’s just the hoops of bureaucracy to negotiate,
trouble is I cant find some of my early invoices most importantly the one for the steel for the chassis & the ali sheet.
The boss of the firm that supplied me can remember but cant go back that far. He said he would nock up a copy if I could give him a clue. I don’t
suppose anyone has got any invoices from that sort of era that I could spy, I don’t need the letterhead or your details just the list & cost.
Thanks

When is it from? When VOSA said I had to prove my engine wasn't nicked I just said "I bought it ten years ago at which point you
weren't asking for invoices so I didn't keep any and there's this thing called innocent until proven guilty so unless you can prove
it's nicked give me a flipping SVA date".
And they did.
Obviously if it's after the time that they started asking for receipts it might be tricky.

Good point, I don’t know when they started asking for invoices but I bet it wasn’t as far back as 14 years I do have the donor log book & receipt
from then

Peter Baldwin set my car up when it was a standard X flow , made a huge difference. Where abouts in Cambridge are you? There are a few locosters in
the area

I know it well, I once lived just before the crematorium on the A14. I'm in Shelford
