Covering the Wiring
Do I need to cover or wrap the wining loom in something?
Can I use insulating tape?
Do I need to wrap all wires?
Scot's do it better in Kilts.

As per your description, can't you just buy a wooden rack to store the bottles?
Seriously though - we use flame retardent insulation tape on almost all the wiring. Some have used spiral wrap or even a semi-rigid conduit.

You cant just use tape. Its must give some physical resistance to abrasions / damage.
You can use:
Split convaluted tubing
The hardish nylon expanding tube like a sort of net / hose.

Spirobind / spiral wrap, but this needs not to have nay gaps between the windings.

I used tape on mine.
Not adhesive though, it was just black non adhesive about 2"wide, loom wrap from one of the electrical suppliers. Just use adhesive to secure
the ends.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

I've used a combination, semi-rigid conduit (split) in the engine bay and from front to back, behind the dash etc. I have reused the original
non sticky tape.

Behind the DASH ? All my wiring is held every 2-3" with cable ties in a very tight panel wiring style of loom ( can't move) do I need
to wrap this or is it just the engine bay and the read quarters(i.e exposed wires)?
