DVLA and VOSA well done
I know these two organisations get a bashing a lot but just thought I'd say I've been very impressed with the process of getting my car on
the road. Vosa gave me a really quick test date and the inspector was a top bloke.
My paperwork was handed in to the dvla office last Friday, car was inspected yesterday and I was issued with my age related registration this
afternoon. All in all a pretty painless process.
Now the fun bit of learning how to drive a bec for the first time

Congrats mate, Im goig through all this now, found Vosa fantastic, really efficient and helpful but my experience with dvla so far is not a pleasent
one, 3 weeks for an inspection date which is next Thursday, and got told it takes 48hours to process the paperwork so I bet I won't even have my
car on the road next weekend!

Well done chap .
I found DVLA pretty amenable at Bristol (see previous thread) and VOSA weren't too bad although they did drag their heels when they had taken my
money for the test due to a 'backlog'! Funny how they took my money then decided to sit on the application until they saw fit to process
it (letting my money earn them intrest )
Still, done now so hey ho

I had good and painless service from Gillingham VOSA and Maidstone DVLA.
Unfortunately the Maidstone DVLA is one of the offices threatened with closure.
I'm addicted to brake fluid, but I can stop anytime.
