Fuel Filler Hose
Hi Guys,
I've read a lot about fuel filler hose needing to be suitably marked for IVA but can't find any mention of this in the manual.
What markings does it need?
Would this be suitable?

Andy

I spent a couple of hours looking for suitably marked filler hose last week.. This stuff was the closest suitably marked stuff I could find. I presume
its ok if you provide suitable documentation/ specification when you IVA the car.
If anyone has a better alternative, please help
Mark.

Well that's what i've got at the moment but assumed it wouldn't pass IVA as it's not marked or anything....

absolutely perfect. ISO 7840 is the quality assurance standard for marine fuel hose (A1 is for hose not in constant contact with fuel, ie fileer hose,
A2 is for constant contact as in between tank and engine)
its better resistant to fire than your normal car stuff, and is suitable for petrol and diesel
the iso marking IS the documentation you need

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Certainly interesting, there seems to be no requirement in the manual for the filler to be documented, nor any of the hoses on the rest of the engine?
Odd. What am I missing?

Well i've bought the marine stuff i linked.
Steve, honestly i managed to make an arse's tit out of the bit you gave me, ended up too short cos i was too impatient to do it properly, i
learned my lesson....
And yeh i was looking through the manual as lots of people has raised the issue with the testers, but i swear it's not actually in there...
