do i need a cat??

hello there

using a zx9r 'e' engine, i would like to know if i need to use a cat or not for the sva test, i could not decipher the sva manual!!!!!

What year bike is the engine from? It will need a catalytic converter if it's one of the above.

to be honest i am not sure as i brought the engine with the loom..... all i can tell you is the the engine no is something like zx9 e 000 the some numbers, just remembering off the top off my head here so the format is prob wrong.

it is on carbs though, so how do i go on with a lambda sensor? surely thats for injection only??

Don't know....

I'll find out when I get to that stage. Air valve method seems to work though, read through the sva section and search for fish tank valves.
