Getting information on a road black spot
Hi
Where I live is a very bad junction on the A90 dual carriageway, near portlethen, we used to use this junction to get to our house but now use another
route as unless the road is very quiet it's just to risky, unfortunately there are around 20 other houses that have no choice but to use it.
There was a speed camera there for many year but that ended with a large 4x4 on top of it so speeds are even higher. I would like to get a partition
going for putting in a slip road in for which there is plenty of room as the grass verge is very wide.
I was of the understanding that for a speed camera to be installed there has to have been serious accidents at a spot but how do I get information
about them as I want to use that a ammo for making a case. It recon I could get loads of signatures for this from local residents so don't see
why this would not work.
Anyone else do this that could offer advice.
Thanks

Edit: here's something more recent, but deaths only by the (initial) looks of it...

Thank you JPS, that's very helpfull and something I have not come across before. I can see why the speed camera was on the road though not due
to any accidents at the junction in question though there have been some crashes there but none that resulted in a fatality.
Cheers
