No V5
I have just bought a chassis and donor parts and unfortunately didnt get the donor V5 with it. I have the donor VIN plate and chassis number.
What else will I need when i finish building it and am ready to apply for IVA and registration.
When I built my Velocity I had all the correct papers and this was in the days of SVA.
What are the requirements now?

If you own 'the donor' then apply for the v5.

you shouldn't have got a V5 if you just bought a load of seperate parts surely?
especially if you never had the original chassis

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

If the seller is kit car savvy, he would have kept the V5 and VIN together with the donor parts. I nearly bought a set of MX5 parts that would have
come with the V5, even though I would have never seen the car in it's entirety.

This is exactly what I was expecting to be get. To be fair to the seller he did say he was going to post the V5 but I havent seen it yet. I will be
asking him again.

Something of a grey area I think - the original chassis is just a component like any other - a car with no engine could be sold with a V5 - so why not
a car with no bodyshell...

because the link between the V5 and the car, is the chassis number

But if the chassis (shell) has been scrapped without an identity as the I'd was to be used for the IVA process then it should have cone with the
part built kit and donor parts, much like my car did.
