S rated bolts
Hi there, I'm refitting my harnesses on my Mk Indy before I go for IVA, originally I was using the bolts that came with the harnesses but these
don't have 8.8 on the head but they do have an 's' on them, will these be ok or should I change them??
Cheers Greg

I thought s grade was for unf bolts. Are yours actually metric?

Strangely they fit my Mk chassis harness mounting points, so I'm not to sure without looking at them but they are out my lock up, I know they
are a fine looking thread

Standard seat belt bolt size is 7/16 unf so will be S grade UNF.

Yes, according to Namrick both S and 8.8 are the same specification 50-55 tons/in^2

I don't think you can even get imperial bolts with metric grade markings.
