couple steering sva questions
Hello, I'm getting the steering parts next for my kit car but unsure what's accepted in the sva
Are quick release sva passable?
Do you need a collapsible boss or column ?
What's the minimum size of steering wheel?
If you have 2 uj joints in the column do you need a collapsible column or boss?
Many thanks

Section 14 in here:

The problem with a QR as I understand it, is that you lose the collapsible boss such as you'd get with a momo or whatever. The manual is worded
a bit strangely, as usual, but from my reading of Annex 1 in section 14 they are expecting
An offset between the steering column and the input shaft of the steering rack or box
A telescopic intermediate shaft
A collapsible element in the upper column
Steering wheel construction - It is vital that the wheel is constructed so as to minimise the risk of facial injuries or concussion.
No minimum size of wheel, I have a 280mm which is pretty small, and that was fine. Bear in mind that the smaller the wheel, the smaller the exempt
area behind it for projections...
