Fibreglass Seat Edges

I have fibreglass seat shells that are going in my car. Do I need to put edging trim all round the outside to get through IVA? The edges are radius'd , but the lip on the returns are not. However, you cant really get you fingers in there to get to the return anyway.

I assume I will need to do the holes where the belts come through the seats though.

Thanks in advance.

Matt

Which seats specifically do you have?
I went through IVA with JK composites, the edges were rolled, did have a radius on the return as you describe, but i didn't edge strip the outer edge of the seats, just the harness holes.

Mine went through IVA with no problem like this.

Regards,
Andy

I used this. A tad expensive, however looks the part and becomes very malleable with a heatgun for those areas with a tight radius.

I cant remember where they came from or the brand! The are wider than normal seats so are very snug in the car anyway!

if you have got through IVA with no issues, then I will take a chance!
