Taxing and registering
I am trying to register my marlin as new after IVA, In the application I have to send £55 first registration payment I also have to pay tax based on
the table here
https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-tax-rate-tables/rates-for-cars-and-light-goods-vehicles-registered-before-1-march-2001
My question is do I have to pay 12 months tax or can I pay 6 months ?

Might be a daft question but on the carbonated v55/4 first registration and tax document do I send the written on part of the document to the Dvla and
keep the carbonated copy, or send both off?

Just thinking about doing mine. Do we choose from this table then?
4. Cars and light goods vehicles registered before 1 March 2001
The rate of vehicle tax is based on engine size.
Private or light goods (TC11)
Engine size (cc) Single 12 month payment Single 12 month payment by Direct Debit Total of 12 monthly instalments by Direct Debit Single 6 month
payment Single 6 month payment by Direct Debit
Not over 1549 £145 £145 £152.25 £79.75 £76.13
Over 1549 £235 £235 £246.75 £129.25 £123.38
Even though it's a new registration??

So I think I need to send-
V55/4 form to register a new vehicle, including new imported vehicles and newly-built (kit) cars
IVA certificate?
Insurance certificate
Drivers license copy
£55 registration fee
£129.25 6mths tax over 1549cc
Is that everything?

I also sent a utility bill as per advice from this forum and make sure the IVA certificate is the original, however make a photocopy for
memorabilia.
