VIN Own or DVLA Only?
Hi Guys,
Are we still allowed to create our own VIN as we are the car builder? 17 digits etc.
Or is it now DVLA only?
If DVLA Only, does tht force us down a Q plate route?
If we can do our own, how can you get it checked before fitting to the car that its ok to use, not already used?

Hi ya, I've heard of both being used, but I stayed with the DVLA route which took a while at the start of lockdowns but they are working fully
now.

I've got a DVLA Vin and a non Q plate on my Stylus. The VIN does not affect what you get on the registration.

Hi All,
Going down the DVLA one. DVLA have told me that unless your registered car builder with them, you can no longer do your own VIN.
