What do I need to keep from the doner for SVA
I have an option on a Sierra V5 and the car. I do not need any bit s from the Sierra but I would like to get an age related plate. If I get the car
keep the V5 only and scrap the car is this all I need for SVA? I plan to do an engine number change on the sierra V5 to the engine I have.
Any advice will probably stop me making a mistake and costing me money.
thanks
Dave

Well I kept the VIN Plate pop riveted to the front cross member (and a chunk of crossmember) Just to show I did own the vehicle - The rest was taken
to a steel merchant and scraped. The car still exisits on paper as I SORN it every year.
You need to prove that some may components came from the doner to get age related.
i.e the Transmission, Engine, axels etc.
It is a paper work excersice mainly but I guess if you were to use a Bike engine then MR SVA might ask where on the serria was the bike gearbox
fitted or where in the kitcar is the tye 9 serria gearbox etc
I would break the car and keep the following
Gearbox
Engine (new one may do)
Hubs & Brakes Front & Rear
Steering column & rack
Vin Plate
DIFF
Halfshafs from rear
Depends what your building but you'll use most of these parts.
The rest like trim /seats door/ clocks/ shell take up space and are never used
