Booked it at Last!!!

I have sent the SVA forms off and asked the DVLA for theirs.

I have a V5 from a sierra (Not registered in my name yet) and the VIN plate, and am going for an age related.

I spoke with the DVLA and they said I do not need it registered in my name, they just want to see it as proof of the source.

I am going to Southampton, and will contact the Bournemouth DVLA office.

Should I register the V5 in my name or not?

Can i start the DVLA process before I have done the SVA?

Anyone had experience of Bournemouth? The car is in Salisbury so hope they don't want to see it!

I want to get it on the road in the quickest and easiest way possible so any help appreciated!

Cheers Ben

The only part you can do before SVA is contacting DVLA and getting a Chassis number and if they choose... the viewing of your car.

Other than that, you need the SVA MAC#1 for the DVLA forms.

Cheers and good luck.

Ben,

had a thought last night, maybe worth contacting some of the guys from the new forest lot, they will probably have more experience of southampton, but they may not have seen this thread

Ned.

ps don't worry about that pipe bender, I've managed some quite good ones, but now have sore thumbs pics in my archive..
