Yes
I dealt with a bloke called Steve at Brighton DVLA, top bloke who sorted everything and gave good advice.
They will visit you (the inspector's name is Jason I think and he is a petrol head - owns a classic Ford Anglia) and they do not charge;
alternatively they inspect on - I think - Tuesdays and Thursdays at some location.
You can't get a direct line I'm afraid. What you do is call the central number, navigate the stupid voice mail menu then ask for some at
Brighton to call you. What happens is they send a fax to the Btn office requesting a call back and that's all. You can fax Btn DVLA yourself and
bypass the DVLA Central line.
The Fax number is 01273 686074.
Do you know how to find the office? I can give you directions if you want.
Anyway, they are happy for you to begin the registration process before your SVA. You can get the forms filled in and the build up inspection done
beforehand and register it on the day of your pass.
Just send them a fax asking for Steve to call you back. He will do so, usually within an hour, and he does leave answerphone messages and try again
later. Like I said, top bloke.

PS, I'm in Worthing if you fancy meeting up. I wouldn't mind a look at your car, I've never seen a Locost before.

Yep, complete shambles the DVLA is, I phoned Swansea and they said make up the chassis number, I questioned this and they insisted you can't get
inspection before SVA (although I know you can) so I said how do I get the chassis number then, they said make it up, so I did.
Basically if they ask it's a chassis number provided by MK.
Rich.

hi Bob
Not familiar with the Cal in Findon as I usually only go there to get onto the chalk trail to chanctonbury ring on my DRz400. Looks nice though and
I'd love to meet up there.
Can you get any discount?
<nudge nudge>
<wink wink>
And the rest of you, honestly, stop fretting Brighton DVLA are OK!
