dash instruments

what instruments are required by law ? I am just about to go looking for parts.

Also i have fitted my handbrake cables but cant work out how to secure the outer sleeve, does this need to be fixed or will it still work correctly?
Cheers

Speedo and odometer are the only 'instruments' required.

You also need a full set of warning lights. (the bright6 module has all the ones you need except a hazard warning light).

As the Bright6 has left an right indicators, can't these be linked for hazard warning ?
May be a daft question but being colour blind, electrics is not my strong point.

And no I don't get a discount on my TV licence.
Yes I have been asked this question !

I have the following and they were fine at SVA:

Rear fog lamp
Indicators (2 lamps)
Hazards (Ford button lights up)
Low brake fluid warning
Main beam
Low charge

Use Peugeot wiring then. They use numbers on the wires rather than colours!

You need to have the proper hazard warning lights symbol (the red triangle one).

Not trying to argue but can you quote the bit of the manual where is says that?

My "draft" version says that EITHER a proper triangle symbol light OR the indicator warning lights will be ok.

If you use the Sierra Wheel and casing - it has the RED warning light button on the top?

That bright6 is ace - I just ordered one of them from www.s-v-c.co.uk - who are really good.

You'll probably want a fuel gauge as well? Can't be much fun guessing the amount of petrol left? ;-)
