Should be ok, but make sure you put them in the right place, as some will probably be a right arse to drill out at a later date if you change you
rmind about something.

I'd rivet them. Once they are in place it's unlikely they'll have to come out again.

I used some on my car SVA inspector didn't comment. Just make sure you space them correctly and I'm sure it'll be OK.
