well, there's one advantage to being 20 over 19.

got my renewal letter through for insurance back end of last week, and even after my prang, following last year's premium of £827.40, this year's will be....................











....wait for it....











...£494.55!. i nearly fell over.
just goes to show, insurance companies do sometimes offer good surprises.

i assume since it's footman james' renewal letter, and it was footman james that paid out for my claim, they'll have taken into account the fact that i've had a prang?

if not, bugger, but if they have, WOO HOO!

£330 reduction in one year? that's like some raceleda front uprights!

First year insurance (21)...£2200
Second Year (22)....£1500
Third Year (23)....£1200
Fourth Year (24).....£750
Fifth Year (25)....£500

Now just turned 30 and paying <£200 on my 2.0l zetec Fury

i was pricing insurance 2day also. I paid £1250 last year and this year they were charging an extra 100 even though i didn't claim ar get points etc. So decided to tell them on no uncertain terms that i would not be continuing my policy with them. Priced around for about an hour and 4 different companies later i got a quote for £877 on my astra sport. much more like it!

I insured mine for £170 - maybe thats the nice thing about being 35. Best bit is i wanted 3,000 miles limited as it was extra £30 for 5,000 miles - just checked paperwork and theyve put me down for 5,000 miles! (it is printed on my certificate and mileage confirmation form).
