New V5's
I'm MOTing the Vdub today and was asked to bring in the V5 for the car. I have just got it out and although it's a 2002 car it's the
old style log book.
The reason for the post is that i thought they all got changed to the new type. We never got one of the new ones so will what i have be ok or should
it have been changed by law?

i always thought the new ones will be issued and any old ones will be updated when changes are required (like new owners etc). i may be wrong but i
didnt think that a new one would be issued as a matter of course.

They did start out doing that, but towards the end of last year the DVLA started issuing new log books to every vehicle that didn't have a new
style one.

When you next go to tax it the Post Office will forward it to DVLA for you.
