Tyre markings

Just received an SVA fail on two of my tyres, (amongst a few other items) for the following reason....

Expected marking 225/50 R 16 82Z

Actual marking 225/50 ZR 16

The point made was that the "82" (or other load related number) at the end of the string is a measure of the load carrying capacity of the tyre. Not showing it, in that format, was a fail ???

Tyres by the way were Fulda (German) I also have some spare Continental tyres, thought I'd just swap them over, but they also don't display the necessary load capacity. The manual seems to support this by saying I need documentary evidence of the load carrying capacity.

Apparently it's not good enough that the tyre actually has the load carrying capacity written in plain english on it, in Kilos and pounds

Thats sounds a bit of a shitty fail. There are loads of tyres about without that number on...
