WOOHOO SVA Pass!!!

Finally passed and registered the Cat yesterday after almost 2 years of building - so chuffed! Can't wait to take it down my favourite local road.
On another note does anyone know the emissions requirements for new engines? Mine is a pre 95 running megajolt and bike carbs and it got:

Limit CO % vol - 4.5
Actual - 0.97

Limit HC ppm - 1200
Actual - 130

Seems to be running very cleanly compared to the figures but how clean is this compared to a newer cat equipped engine??? Its a pinto by the way.....Cheers Oli.

Cheers guys....its good to know that its close to the new regulations as it'll mean I should have no problems in 3yrs when it comes to the dreaded MOT.....just gotta find someone who will make me some number plates now without seeing the V5 which wont be here for another week or so.....so close yet so far! Oli.

The DVLA should have given you a piece of paper that authorises you to purchase plates, when you registered the car - I was, anyway!

Well done Oli, must be a good feeling to pass SVA. Enjoy your local road.

I am about 2-3 years behind you, so far I have cleaned up 1 item from the donor in the electrolosis bath and painted it. Wow.

Keith.

Why do they call Port Harcourt "The Garden City"?...... Becauase they can't spell Stramash.

Annoyingly no the DVLA haven't given me any bit of paper! Like I said my local garage have never asked me for anything to do it...and I bought one the other week for the boat lighting board!
Yep I was contemplating organising a run sometime soon. The grampian freewheelers site is also in motion. We now have a domain name: http://www.grampianfreewheelers.co.uk the web hosting space has also been sorted and I uploaded a random (test) website I had done ages ago to check its all working. I just need to get on and upload a proper one now with all the info. I'll put a post on here when I plan to organise anything or if there are any other updates. Otherwise if any of you are around the Banchory area give me a shout and I'll happily take ppl out for a 'spin'! Oli.
