Engine proof

i have on some parts of my engine the typical year month stamp.

is this a valid proof?

in the stamp it says 97 saying that the bike is from 98

or won´t i need proof of it?

Tks

p.d. another thing ticked of the "to do" list

I wouldn't bother proving the engine age if you're putting it through SVA in the UK. Because it's a post 95 engine, it will have to meet the stringent emissions test anyway.
