Yippee!!! Im on the road
my MK passed SVA today at Newcastle- 2nd attempt.
After putting the long list of faults to right(see post "oh bugger" and with the seat belt anchrage fiasco(see same post) behind me, we
arrived at test station to find the original tester from hell- was on holiday! GREAT!
My Indy sailed through fault list until we got to emmissions. A couple of days before the test i had it back at tuners to set carbs up and he put
in larger ( but wrong as it turned out) idle jets.
It seemed ok until i got it home and had a good blast up the road, now it was 10 times worse! Anyway there was no time to take it back (luckily
i had the original jets) i had to set it up the good old fashioned way... a piece of tube and an ear!
Eventually got the mixture screws set right and it passed PHEW!!
Now i have to wait for the local DVLA guy
who deals with sva's to get back off holiday before i can get a registration- so i wont be on the road till next week.
Anyways it PASSED!!! YIPPEE
