Susp pivot bolt
Hi all, what the reasoning behind almost all of the kitcar manufactures using M12 suspension brackets, bushes/tube and therefore bolts as opposed to
the M10 which as far as the bushes and pivot tubes go are much much cheaper? Is there any SVA issues with the M10?

My fronts are M10, rears are M12. SVA man he say nothing, and that was Southampton, who are pretty strict. So I guess the answer is "No
problem". HTH Ray
To make a car go faster, just add lightness. Colin Chapman - OR - fit a bigger engine. Chippy

Cheers, just wondering why a "locost" manufacture would choose to use the dearer M12 bush set. Cheapest M12 set is £75 compared to the
£29 for the M10.

Kit makers probabley us M12 just to be on the safe side. Realised mine are all M10 infact, the only M12's are the two bottom/ outside ones on
the rear hub carriers, as this is retained by one 300mm x M12 bolt, (thought that M10 at that length was a bit iff'y. Regards, Ray
