bottom dash radius
Morning
I understand that if a dash is solid then a 19mm radius is required on botton edge
I've read on thread somewhere that if the bottom radius is soft/padded then it's a lot smaller(can't remember the radius)
So would I be right that if I fitted a soft padding to the bottom of a unflexible dash I could use the smaller radius?
If that is right could someone remind me of the radius and recomend what to use as the padding, would foam extrusion be okay?
last question does this radius rule apply to the entire bottom edge including say the outside/inside curves where the dash bends towards the
chassis/trans tunnel if having a lower centre partition.
Sorry for the lengthy thread and hope fully someone can assist.

I can't find my SVA manual, but from memory it is 5mm if soft [for SVA this means similar hardness to pencil rubber]

5 mm is softer material with a hardness of not more than 50 Shore A.
There is an exlusion zone, 127 mm from outermost edge of steering wheel and bounded by a horizonatl line with lowest edge of steering wheel.
I'm prettysure the edge includes the angled sides that lead to the trasnmission tunnel.
I have plywood dash, covered with some foam and vinyl and hadto the the lower edge stuff. I did this by thinning the lowere edge and gleuing on a U
shaped rubber trim from woolies.
