Had exactly the same problem with the brake pedal, turned out the clevis was a a little tight on the pedal and causing it to bind.

Awesome David. That has to be one of the best fails yet. maybe a tad picky but if they were training someone then you can be sure it was done with a fine tooth comb making the result even better - if you know what i mean.

Good luck for a quich retest date. As it will only take a metter of minutes my fingers are crossed that they will squeeze you in.

I had similar comments from Gosforth ref the car and build - it doesnt half do your ego some good doesnt it!!!! Strangely they also commented on other makes in a similar way.

Congratulations on such a 'good' fail.

Hope you can get the re-test in soon.

All the best,
James

Re-test is booked for 11:30am on the 19th (sorry ditch!) which is the day after my graduation! They managed to squeeze me in, and said if i dont mind waiting around one of the testers will check the points over at the end of another test.

Both problems are now fixed. New front indicators fitted, much dimmer than the others, but still pretty bright! The brake pedal was binding because the pushrod had buckled! Take a lot of force to do that to a 8.8 M8 bolt in compression.... Now replaced with a 12.9 M10 item, which should do the trick

David
