cost of registering
erm. just been on the phone to DVLA about getting my new registration.. he said it would be 180 quid for tax, plus 50 for registration.
just looked HERE at the cost of tax and it says £180
for anything over Over 1549cc. an R1 is 998 so surely it should be 115?
how much have other BEC owners payed?

Yes, it should be the lower tax band. Makes no difference that it's a BEC, he just made a mistake.

oops. Yes, just rang him back to query this and he thought I was using the sierra engine so got it wrong.
The r1 does fall under the 'eco friendly' tax bracket! (despite being anything but.. heh heh)

Stealth tax.
First registration fee went up to £50 this year, see what ABD says.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
