SVA friendly way to blank off bottom tank take off.

i need an SVA proof way of blanking out the main outlet on my tank for my velocity. Because im using a mondeo fuel pump that sits in the top of the tank, im not using the bottom take off on the tank.

I need to blank it off, yet in an SVA friently way...

cani just use a fmall bit of fuel pipe, shove a bolt in it and use two fuel clips to make sure none leaks out???

Do you have any other connections on the tank which you don't need (eg. return pipe) ? If so then you could run a length of rubber hose between them.

If you do decide to use a bolt then use an M8/M10 bolt (depending on the pipe) and cut the head and threaded part off the bolt and use the unthreaded section. Then use a file (or ideally a lathe) to tidy the sawn end so that it looks like a proper blanking plug. Now smear on some hylomar or similar fuel proof sealant and shove it in and secure with a proper fuel hose clip (ie. not a jubilee clip). Just make sure the bit of bolt is at least twice as long as the clip is wide and centre the clip on the bolt.

I can't see anyone having a problem with that.

Cheers,
Craig.
