SVA Pass

Dear All,

Having used the list on and off for a number of years I thought you all should know that after 12 years of building I recently got my car through the SVA test!!!!

I failed the first time (Cardiff) due to excessive noise (103db reading - allowed 101db). A new silencer and a retest later and I was through. Another couple of weeks and a further cursory inspection by the Worcester DVLA and I had the registration number....What a great feeling.

Have had a few days driving now - what great fun.

It now needs a number of mods including getting the ride hight, camber and wheel alignment right.

Anyway, many thanks to all who offered great advice and encouragement along the way and to those who are taking the long route - keep going, it is worth it in the end.

Best regards,

Tony

PS. I can't recommend the inspectors at Cardiff VOSA centre highly enough. They were professional and very knowledgable and seemed to genuinely want the car to pass.

Well done - can't imagine sticking it out for that long. After 2 years I was suicidal.
